About Suffolk University

Suffolk University is a private, non-sectarian, university located in Boston, the capital and the largest city in the US state of Massachusetts, as well as the largest city in New England, being regarded as the unofficial `Capital of New England`, also being the 20th largest city in the country, housing over 645 000 people, within its boundaries.

The university was established in 1906, by lawyer Gleason Archer, Sr., as Suffolk School of Law, and it currently is the third largest university in Boston, its enrollment being approximated at a number of more than 16 000 students. It offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees, as well as joint degrees.

Athletics

Suffolk's athletic teams are known as the Rams and they compete in NCAA Division III, GNAC. Their distinctive colors are blue and gold.
